From a food truck to a full-fledged restaurant.
Captain Jack's was born from a simple idea and a whole lot of heart. It started with Joe Goade and his son Michael, who launched a family food truck in Cassville, Missouri, with nothing but a limited menu, a passion for great food, and a dream of serving the community something special.
The response was overwhelming. In just one year, the food truck became a local sensation. Lines wrapped around parking lots. Word spread across Barry County and the surrounding Ozarks. The community showed up for every basket of crispy fried fish, every shrimp platter, and every house-ground brisket burger. That first year proved one thing beyond a doubt: Cassville wanted Captain Jack's to stay.
So Michael, alongside his wife Nemia and his father Joe, took the leap. They traded the food truck for a full-fledged restaurant on Highway 76, expanding the menu while keeping the same recipes, the same made-from-scratch sauces, and the same pirate spirit that made the food truck a hit.
Today, Captain Jack's Seafood & Brisket Burgers is more than a restaurant. It's a family tradition built on three generations of hard work, a love of cooking, and a commitment to every guest who walks through the door. Whether you're a neighbor from right here in Cassville or just passing through the Ozarks on your way to Table Rock Lake or Roaring River, there's a place for you at our table.
So come hungry. Stay a while. And eat like a pirate.

Eat like a pirate.
No crumbs left behind!
Regular or Cajun? Single or double? The best voyage starts with a good meal and a little room for dessert.
